  Thank you for visiting our web site.  The Tatsunokuchi International Friendship Association (TIFA)  was established in 1999.  This is the eighth year of our activities.  We now have about 100 members.

  There is Japan Advanced Institute Science and Technology (JAIST) in our city, Nomi. 
Therefore, the number of students and their families from abroad is steadily increasing by each year.

  One of TIFA's function is to act as an intermediator between the foreign students and the native residents.  We have exchanged friendship through activities like New Year Party, Mini Homestay Experience,  International Exchange Salon, Nature Tour, and so on.

  For those who wish to learn Japanese, TIFA's volunteer teachers offer free Nihongo (Japanese language) classes.

 Additionally, we organized overseas tours in places like Canada and Hong Kong, in order to experience their culture and lifestyles.

 You are always welcome to join us for promoting international friendship.
